TREKKING: on the farm trail of Aica
The Oachner Höfeweg („Oacha“ is the dialectal name for the village of Völser Aicha, village of Völs am Schlern), is undoubtedly one of the hiking highlights in the Völser area and particularly suitable for a hike in spring or autumn. Our circular hike starts in the village of Prösels, where parking spots and bus connection can be easily found. It goes slightly downhill past the farms at Prösler Ried and Unteraicha through meadows and forests. From there we’ll follow the signposts to Völser Aicha, which runs partly along the country road, from where we return to the path marked as „Höfeweg“. The landscape above the Tierser Valley is characterized by deciduous forests with chestnut trees, meadows and grapevines.
