Alpe di Siusi the largest Alpine pasture of Europe, the Alpe di Siusi, is known as one of the most striking marvels of nature in the Dolomites. During the winter the area of Valgardena Alpe di Siusi is the perfect place for ski holidays, snowboarding, sledding, hiking in the snow: it is breathtaking! It is ideal for families and skiers who prefer well-kept easy to moderately difficult slopes.
The Dolomite Massif of the Sassolungo, Sciliar, Cir, and Sella are the background of the skiing area Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi. It has a total of 84 ski lifts and 176 kilometer long slopes. The slopes surrounding the villages of Ortisei, Santa Cristina, and Selva di Val Gardena often come very close to the massif, which provides an impressive experience. In the last few years, all the slopes in Val Gardena and on the Alpe di Siusi got connected; nowadays the entire area is accessible on skis. Much attention from skiers and snowboarders are getting the World Cup Slopes Saslong, Cir, Tre, Seceda, and Mont Seura. The skiing area Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi includes over 175 kilometer long slopes, which form a unique and entirely connected skiing area of 500 kilometers of slopes because they are also connected with the valleys surrounding the Sellastock von Alta Badia, Arabba/Marmolada, and the Val di Fassa Valley. The new gondolas from Siusi (Castelrotto, Fiè) and Ortisei and the renovation of the facilities on the Alpe di Siusi led to an enormous improvement of the skiing area for families and are now even more suitable for enjoyable descents and comfortable visits of the wooden huts.
