Fitness and Running Park

Beginning in summer 2010, the Alpe di Siusi is offering everyone who enjoys running a “Running Park”, which is an area of perfect and beautiful tracks located at about 1,800 – 2,100 sea level (Alpe di Siusi) an about 9,00 - 1,100 sea level (Castelrotto, Siusi and Fiè)

Altogether, the newly built running park includes 20 signposted tracks that stretch to about 180 kilometers: 8 of these tracks are located on the Alpe di Siusi and are about 70 kilometers long; 12 of the 19 tracks are located around the villages of Castelrotto, Siusi, and Fiè. Some of the more challenging tracks are named after successful athletes, who spent their time training in South Tyrol and had great success.

The name, length, and degree of difficulty of each track are listed in a handbook: every runner can create her/his own personal running route by selecting different tracks and record her/his accomplishments in a training journal. In addition, the handbook of 30 pages includes various interesting running tips and information about the topic of running in general.
