The climbing path surrounding the Sciliar

Climbing

Feel the rocks

Hiking and climbing - the special fascination! The discovery and realization of one’s own powers and capabilities. It’s the process of creating new goals and setting higher limits. The Dolomites are therefore incredibly well suited! They are famous worldwide as a paradise for climbers and hikers.

The Maximilian-Path

Meters Height: 218 m
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes

This is the climbing path that winds along the edge of the Denti di terra rossa (“Horse teeth”- because their shape reminds one of horse teeth). It leads from the Alpe di Tires Shed to the Sciliar Lodge. One horizon provides a view of the entire Alpe di Siusi, while the other horizon allows one to look into the depths of the Tschamin-Valley and Tires.

The Maximilian-Path is very beautiful, albeit not extremely difficult, while some segments are more of an exposed climbing path. You can approach it either from the Alpi di Tires Shed (2438 meters) or from the Sciliar Lodge (2457 meters).
The path is accessible from either direction.
